Just like Ye, I've gone West to write.
I'm thrilled to have received a month-long residency fellowship from the Jentel Foundation in Wyoming. I wasn't sure I'd be able to attend, but I made it--after driving three days from Baltimore! This place is breath-taking in ways I can't yet explain. In a week, I wrote a new long essay, read a couple books, hiked, watched the sunset and deer and eagles, went to a bluegrass jam, swam nearly every evening in the creek or lake.
