Zine Alert!
As part of a collaborative program set up by the artist Jessica Harvey and the Tulsa Artist Fellowship, I got to work with Corkey Sinks and Walls Divide Press to create my own zine! I wrote an essay, “Tulsa Time,” about how there are a ton of songs that mention “Tulsa” in the title but are not about actually being IN Tulsa. I paired the text with postcards - vintage and ultra-shitty ones collected from my travels and illustrated ones with perforated edges to tear out and send.
Corkey Sinks is a very cool artist & designer working across a range of media and projects, fascinating & moving. She was a dream to work with and made it all possible! Check out all the TAF artist zines and all the other artist books at Walls Divide Press.
